You can find countless apps that are built to help you beat procrastination—but sometimes, there’s nothing better than wasting time on purpose. The eight apps below will send you into the best kind of Internet black hole. The next time you need to take a break and do something mindless (and sometimes useful and/or funny), it’s worth checking out one of these. Happy procrastinating. :-)

1. Random Useful Websites

All you have to do is click a button on the homepage—and voilà! You’ll be taken to a random useful website, like a page to test hotel WiFi or compare two different foods. You can also sign up to receive weekly emails about useful websites. Close to 11,000,000 people have used the site successfully, and now it’s your turn. Click the button on the homepage and see what Internet magic pops up,

2. Startup Fucking Advice

If you’re looking for a quick (and funny) way to start your work day, you’ll find the pep talk you’re looking for here. Advice ranges from “Just fucking launch,” to “Chase the fucking vision, not the money.” You never know…if you’re having a tough day working on your startup, you just might find the perfect fucking advice here. Warning: Not for people who dislike cussing.

3. OK Cookie

These are ridiculous actual fortune cookies, created by the makers of Cards Against Humanity—so you know they’ll all be totally inappropriate 100% of the time. With 15 fortune cookies per box, this makes for the perfect post-Thanksgiving dinner “treat,” or a great stocking stuffer in December.

4. Pun Finder

All you’ve got to do is enter a word, and out pops a list of random puns. Some of them don’t make any sense…but who cares? It’s still hilarious. We typed “product” and found our favorite pun so far: Practice makes product. We couldn’t have put it better ourselves, Pun Finder. :-)

5. WTF Should I Do With My Life?

This site is funny, but also genuinely useful. If thinking about your career makes you feel all sorts of “WTF,” then this might be just the random page you’re looking for. This site will start off with something you should do—like become an air balloon pilot (true story) or start a commercial production company (yup, it actually gets that specific). If you click “hell no,” you’ll be taken to a different suggestion. If you click “okay,” you’ll get a summary about what it takes to actually do that particular thing. You could waste a ton of time on this site…but it’s all for a good cause, right? You may just discover your ideal future career this way (we’re half kidding).

6. Watch Me Work

It’ll be interesting to see how this site evolves over the next year or two. Watch Me Work is best suited for anyone who wants to become a designer—or learn how other designers do their work. You can “shadow” others via video, and sort all of them by application (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro). This is the beginning of a great global community for creatives.

7. Netflix Super Browse

This Chrome extension allows you to see hundreds of additional Netflix categories, making it even easier for you to choose movies. You’ll no longer have to scroll through the platform incessantly to find the right movie recommendation. This is a must-have tool if you find yourself wondering why it’s taking so long to find a movie that looks interesting to you (and we’ve all been there).

8. Star Wars Intro Creator

Use this super simple Star Wars tool to create your own introduction. If you’re a big fan of the series, you’ll get a kick out of this one. Type in a title and intro summary, and watch the glory unfold before your eyes.
